Tips for a Stress-Free Easter

Easter, a time for celebrations with your family. Regardless of whether you are religious or not, you may celebrate Easter and join in on the (non religious traditions) fun and games. But, just like last year, we are still living in a pandemic, which means Easter celebrations might look different, especially if you can’t do social gatherings. So, how can we celebrate Easter without stress while staying safe? Here are some ways/tips on a stress-free fun filled Easter.

1. Remember how far you’ve come.

You’ve come so far and you can continue to do some. Be proud of what you’ve achieved so far, and don’t stress. Let go of those worries, because today is a day for you to relax and enjoy. Focus today on you and your family and nothing else.

2. Do something you love.

Spend some time on yourself. Do what you enjoy. We are always busy, but today, spend some time away from all your responsibilities and just enjoy! Do some fun activities with your family.

3. Have fun!

Seems simple enough. Just remember to do whatever makes you happy. What may be fun and relaxing for someone may not be the same for you. Whether it be dyeing easter eggs, getting crafty, doing some baking, or doing an egg hunt, do something that will help you relax while spending quality time with your family.

4. Tone down expectations.

Having high expectations - whether it be expectations for yourself or for others - can make things stressful, especially when we’re celebrating amidst a pandemic! Cut yourself some slack, and treat everyone with respect, including yourself.

5. Facetime or call loved ones.

Just because we’re in a pandemic, doesn’t mean we have to stop the celebrations. Call your loved ones and celebrate together. You can still spend Easter with relatives through a screen. Granted, it may not be as great, but it’s still better than nothing. This is a great time to reach out to loved ones and connect with them.

6. No-bake Easter cake recipes.

Looking to do something fun? If baking is your jam, check out this fridge cake recipe or this cheesecake recipe. Simple and easy to make, anyone can get in on the fun. This could be a fun family activity, or you could simply spend time alone focusing on the task.

7. Be thankful.

Most importantly, be grateful for the little things you have. Be grateful for one another. Be thankful on Easter. Know that we might be living in a pandemic, but things are getting better. This won’t be forever. But for now, we’ll just have to make do.
